OGDEN STUDIO No classes will be held on Thursday and Friday, April 7 & 8, due to Spring Break for Weber County School District. All CLASSES WILL BE HELD at regular schedule on Monday, April 11, in order to be ready for the Utah Dance Fest Competition on April 15 & 16.

We have received some preliminary schedule information for Utah Dance Fest. Solos will be held throughout the day on Friday, with the youngest dancers starting the competition early in the day. The following teams will also be performing on Friday between 3:30 and 6:30 p.m: 3&4 year old competition class, Tiny Prep, Mini Prep, Tiny Company, Petite Company, Mini Company, and Mini Funk Company. Production will likely be scheduled on Saturday morning. If you are interested in staying overnight, a special rate of $79 is being offered to Utah Dance Fest participants at the Weston Inn (435) 752-5700.

We are SO excited to have team pictures done this year by Dave Brewer Photography. He does an awesome job and his prices are very affordable (see flyer below). In addition to the basic packages, Dave also offers Glam packages, fun action shots, convenient a la cart print options, and collages!! If you are unable to attend for pictures at either studio, make up shots will be available during the Utah Dance Championship competition at Roy High on April 29 & 30.

The Spotlight Competition is at Viewmont High School, 120 W 1000 N Bountiful. Take exit 317 on the left for 500 W. Immediately move to the left-hand lane and take the first left turn on 1000 N. Stay on this road. School is about a half a mile east on the left hand side of the street. Remember to arrive at least one hour early.

Several competition checklists were left at the Brigham Studio so I am posting these reminders: Remember: Spotlight is known to run ahead of schedule. Remember you are responsible to bring your own solo music on a single CD IN A CASE (one song per CD), along with a back up. We had a great time at Hollywood Vibe! All the dancers looked awesome! Special congratulations to: Halle Pobanz, Addison Bell, and Jordin White, Regional Scholarships, Ellie Hadfield and Kylee Allen, Team Hollywood Vibe Scholarships , Taylor Bell, National Final Scholarship, and Kennidee Allen and Hailee Payne, Grand Champion Scholarships. Also, kudos to Hailee for her solo competition results: 1st place in Senior Division, 1st place Overall, and Dancer of the Year!! Way to go everyone!

All classes will be held at regular schedule on Monday, March 21, even though some school districts are not in session. Remember, all classes are mandatory for comp teams two weeks prior to competitions. Thanks for working so hard ! Do your best this upcoming week to get ready for Spotlight. REMINDER - Roy High has several events scheduled on March 17, at the same time as the dress rehearsal. PARKING WILL BE VERY LIMITED & the school is allowing traffic for PICK UP AND DROP OFF ONLY. Please carpool, if possible, and arrive a little before your rehearsal time so we can stay on schedule. Due to the parking situation and to avoid congestion, costumes will be handed out next week during rehearsal classes. Thanks for your cooperation!

Reminder, due to the involvement of most dancers at the Rockette Invitational on March 16, the only classes held at the BRIGHAM STUDIO this night will be for Jr. Squad from 4-6 p.m. Come and support the Rockettes!!

REMINDER NEW HAIR STYLE: Hair is straight, all slicked back with a part on the left side, bangs slicked with hair to the right. Place the two rhinestone bobby pins on the right side in line with the eyebrow (slight space in between the pins). One low, super straight pony tail in the middle of the back in the rhinestone pony holder. If your hair in a pony tail does not reach below the shoulders near your shoulder blades, it is preferred that you have a pony tail extension the same color as your hair. Make up with eye shadow in brown tones, eye liner, false eyelashes, blush, bright red lips. Make up should be performance-stage quality. Remember your earrings, too. Most importantly, bring your smiles and we will have lots of fun!!
