Schedule & Dance for Life Payment Reminders

Reminder- NO CLASSES will be held at either Studio on Monday, Jan. 2 , for the New Year's holiday. Dance for Life Competition fees are DUE on Tuesday, Jan. 3 , when classes resume. Fee is $11 per routine times the number of dances per student. Most companies are competing 3 routines ($33) so please check your balance in the Office. Solos are $70, Duet/Trio $90, and additional solo entries are $55.   Reminder to complete and turn in your paperwork for solos ASAP!

Celebration & Schedule Week of Dec. 19

Reminder - All classes will be held at regular schedule December 19-22 for both Studios. Monday, 11/21 - Classes at regular schedule for both studios, EXCEPT for Teen & Sr. ADP. Dancers traveling home from Pulse will be excused Monday night. Teen and Sr. ADP members who did not attend Pulse are welcome to attend combined classes at the Ogden Studio OR will also be excused from class this night. Tuesday, 11/22 - Classes at regular schedule for both studios. Wednesday & Thursday 11/23 & 11/24 - NO classes at either studio. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Costume Payment Reminders

Costume balances for ADP's, Companies, and Company 2 teams are now PAST DUE! Thanks to all who have gotten payments in on time!! Our first competition is only 12 weeks away and will be here before you know it. We are ordering most items next week and your dancer's costumes and accessories orders will not be placed unless balances are paid in full. Please check the office if you have any questions and to avoid $10 per costume late fees.

Movie in Vegas!!

A group is going to see Breaking Dawn on Friday night at the Rave Cinema (6587 Las Vegas Blvd) at 8:30 p.m. This is a really nice theater near the Town Square outlet mall. Everyone is invited to come! Angie will be reserving a block of seats for us. If you want to go, make sure you let Angie know and get your money to her by Monday. Cost is $8 for children and $12 for adults. Money must be received by Monday in order to reserve your seat. Come and join the fun!!

Info. for Soloists

We are very excited to have so many soloists this season! Please be mindful of the following: Studio rental fee is $50 for all soloists (payable to Infinity Dance) Plan ahead and review competition schedules -solo costs and opportunities will be posted soon. It is your responsibility to complete all required paperwork and notify the office of which competitions you are planning to compete. Solo forms and fees must be received prior to the posted deadline or you will not be registered. There are some great used costumes at the Brigham Studio and/or for sale from other soloists from previous years. Check with your choreographer to make arrangements for design and purchase. In order to maximize your dancer's individual time with their instructor, please adhere to the Studio policy of no parent observation during class, which also applies to solos. This will help our busy teachers stay on track and give their undivided attention to your dancer. Students progress much more quickly wit

Pulse Waiver Forms

All dancers attending the PULSE and Camp PULSE will need a wavier signed by a parent in order to participate. Parents please come in to the office Wednesday night after 5 or on Saturday during rehearsal so we can submit the forms prior to the convention. Thanks! Eden

The Lost & Found at the Ogden Studio is FULL and overflowing! Please check this week for any of your belongings. There are lots of jackets, clothes, and DANCE SHOES there that you won't want to lose. All unclaimed items will be taken to the DI on Nov. 18. Thanks!

Schedule Reminders

Remember Fall Break is this week. The Ogden Studio will NOT have classes on Thursday, Oct. 20. The Brigham Studio will NOT have classes on Wednesday or Thursday, Oct. 19 & 20. Also, neither Studio will hold classes on Monday, Oct. 31, for Halloween. Thanks!

Accessories Order

If you are on a team that will be competing, earrings ($8 - pierced or clip-on) and a rhinestone ponytail holder ($10) will be required for competitions. We will be using the same accessories as last season. Please check to see what you have at home. We will be ordering soon!

Upcoming Payment Reminders

WARM UPS - If you are new on a company this year or need warm ups, payment is due Sep. 15. Cost is approximately $110 for jacket and pants, which includes name embroidered on the jacket and rhinestones. You can also have a name embroidered on the pants for an extra $10. COSTUMES - Company dancers should have made two costume payments, so far. Third costume payment is due Sep. 22 and the final balance due on costumes is Oct. 20. THE PULSE - Those attending the Pulse in Las Vegas, remember convention fee $210 and $25 competition fee will be due Oct. 3 Please check with the office if you have any questions on balances or payments. We really appreciate everyone keeping up on scheduled payments!!

Dance with the Judges Workshop

Dance with the Judges Workshop Saturday, Sept. 24 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Sports Academy in Logan If you are planning to attend, please call or text me ASAP! Remember, if you missed Full Out, this is a great convention to attend to make up. We will receive a group discount of $10 per person if we have 15 or more dancers attending and we register this weekend. Cost is $85 with the group discount, $95 for individuals. Peach Days Parade Info.

We are #32. Meet at Napa Auto Parts (500 S Main). Parade marchers be there at 9:00 a.m. sharp. If you are riding on the truck only, meet at 9:30. Wear your costume, black racer-back sports bra, black high-top converse, no-show socks, belt, sword, and bandana. Hair will be in a right, low curled pony tail with a part on the left. Remember, no earrings or fingernail polish. Riders may wear any combination of red, white, and black. The parade route ends at 600 North. All dancers must be picked up by a parent immediately following the parade . If you have permission to leave without a parent, you must bring a signed note or have your parent sign the list when they drop you off. We want all dancers accounted for! See you Saturday and most important, bring your smiles! Thanks for all your hard work!

New Ogden Classes!

We are excited to offer several new classes in Ogden! Come and try any one for free ! Senior Technique (Thursdays 6-8 p.m.) Want to improve your technique but don't want to compete? This class is for you! Work on different technical skills and learn new combos every week. Funky 5 & 6 year olds (Thursdays 4:30-6 p.m.) Want to learn a little of each style? This fun new class offers lyrical, jazz, and hip hop! Your little one will LOVE it! Boys Hip Hop (Wait list) Calling all boys ages 5-10. Boys can dance, too! Get your friends together and give us a call. We are just waiting to get this class started, once we have 6-8 boys ready to go.

Directions to Dance Fever

Provo Marriott 101 W 100 N Provo UT (801) 377-4700 From I-15 SB, take the Provo Center Street exit (265). Follow the road to the left onto Center Street. Get in the left-hand lane and turn left (north) onto 500 W/US 89. Take the 1st right onto 100 N. The hotel and convention center is on the right. There is a LOT of construction in the area so please leave EARLY in order to arrive on time. UDOT reports traffic delays up to 15 min. Drive safely and see you there!

Peach Days Performance

We will be performing the following routines at Peach Days on Saturday, Sept. 10: Dirty Bit Be Still My Soul I Like to Move It Tentative performance time is 4:45-5:15 p.m. Plan to meet at the Studio at 3:30 to get ready and we will walk to the stage together. Watch for more details to be posted as they become available. Brandi will also be arranging for some solo performances to fill the rest of our allotted time. Be Still My Soul practices have been scheduled for Wed, Aug 24, from 8-9, during Sr. ADP class and Wed, Aug 31, from *6-7:30 p.m.* note revised time

Peach Days Parade Info. - Riders Needed!

Every dancer who is performing in the Parade Routine will need black, high-top Converse, no-show socks, and girls will need a black racer-back sports bra. Costumes and hair instructions will be handed out at the last practice. We have scheduled extra mandatory practices that will be held off-site to prepare the dancers for the long march in the parade. Meet at the former K-Mart building (10 th South & Main) on the south side. We will be marching on the back streets by the old Indian School. BRING COLD WATER and wear your black high top Converse to break them in. Mandatory Rehearsal Times: Aug 20 (Sat) 9-11 a.m. Aug 24 (Wed) 2:10-4 p.m. This rehearsal is right after class. We would love any help getting the dancers from the Studio to the practice site) Aug 31 (Wed) 4-6 p.m. Sept 7 (Wed) 7-8 p.m. Thanks SO much for being willing to make these practices work! We can't wait to see our awesome dancers perform!! All registered Infinity dancers ages 5 and up

Make Up Convention Info.

Dancers who did not attend Full Out (one day) or who will be missing Dance Fever (two-days) are required to attend an alternate convention. Information on the closest events to make up missed conventions are: 9/24/11 DANCE WITH THE JUDGES (one-day) from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. at the Sports Academy in Logan. Cost is $85 (if registering with 15 or more dancers) - $95 (individual rate). $10 late fee for registrations received after 9/10. 9/30 - 10/1/11 EPIC (two-days) at The Homestead in Midway. Cost is $200 plus hotel. 10/ 7 - 10/8/11 EPIC (two-days) at Zermatt Resort in Midway. Cost is $200 plus hotel. Full Out and Dance Fever payments will be used toward cost of the make-up conventions.

Dance Fever Convention Info.

Dance Fever is right around the corner, August 26 & 27 at the Provo Marriott! Juniors can check in from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. and Teens and Seniors from 3:00 to 3:45 p.m. Dinner will be served Friday night. Saturday classes start at 9:00 a.m. and the Showcase is scheduled at 3:30 Saturday afternoon. The schedule is posted on the blog with dinner, lunch, and break times. Notes have been sent home with hotel and room assignments. Remember to send money with your dancer for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (if needed) on Saturday and to help with transportation. You may also want to pack or send money for snacks for both days. Thanks so much to those who have volunteered to be room moms! Please make sure your Dance Fever fees are paid in full. Late fees will be charged after August 18th.

Dancers new to Dirty Bit will need to purchase shoes for the Pulse and other performances: Nike 6.0 - Morgan Mid 2 Youth ($50.00) Men's ($75.00) Color: Anthracite/Black/White *The men's and the youth are a little different and both of them work Brandi found the largest selection of sizes at Zappos.com and they still had a few sizes on the Nike.com website. If you need help locating a pair, please get with Brandi AHEAD of time! Thanks!!

**PERFORMANCE UPDATE!!**

  We received a call changing the time for stage blocking tonight for our performance.  EVERYONE must be there at 5:45 SHARP !  We will be marking the stage at 6:00pm.  PLEASE WEAR YOUR INFINITY WARM UP'S.  The address is still  Scera Shell: 745 South State Street, Orem.  We are so excited to be a part of this amazing show.  Thank you!!

Performance Tuesday night at the Scera Shell Theater in Orem. Be there AT 6:00 P.M. READY TO GO WITH COMPETITION HAIR AND MAKE UP. This is our scheduled time to mark the stage. Brigham Parade Rehearsals

Broken Hearts

We are again broken-hearted with the tragic passing of Miss JeriAnn's son, Greg. He is a true hero who will be so greatly missed! Words can't express the depths of sadness and sorrow we feel and our love and prayers go out to the Gray family.

Special Performance Opportunities!!!

Infinity has been chosen as only one of 5 studios in Utah to perform at a special pre -show event for Justin Giles on August 16 ! Tickets can be purchased at a group rate (15+) for $10. We will be performing Park Bench and Dirty Bit. We will also be performing Dirty Bit at the Pulse in Las Vegas on November 19 & 20. Teen Company, Senior Company, and Teen and Senior ADP Dancers who can commit to these performances and their accompanying rehearsal schedules are invited to audition for Dirty Bit on Wednesday, July 27, from 8-9 p.m. at the Ogden Studio . Park Bench is not open for auditions and will be performed by dancers who have previously competed in this routine. *Dancers auditioning for Dirty Bit must be willing to attend the Pulse Convention in Las Vegas. Cost has not yet been posted but is estimated to be $200-250 per dancer, plus performance fee. Full Out will be held at the Sports Academy in Logan. The address is 1655 N. 200 E. Stay on Main Street as you come in to Logan all the way to 1400 North (by Cache Valley Mall). Turn right (east) on 1400 North and go two blocks. Turn left (north) on 200 East and go 2 1/2 blocks. The Sports Academy is on the left hand side of the street. See you there!

Summer Absence Policy Reminder

Just a friendly reminder dancers are only allowed to miss 3 classes for the entire summer. There are 9 regular class days scheduled and students must attend a minimum of 6. Three excused absences are permitted. Company policy sheet states, "Up to 3 excused absences PER CLASS in the summer and up to 5 excused absences PER CLASS during the school year. Absences must be called into the office and excused prior to the class". Since our competitions will begin earlier this season, teams are starting choreography now and we don't want your dancer to miss out during this important time. Full Out will be Saturday, June 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m . at the Sports Academy in Logan (just north of the Cache Valley Mall). Address is 1655 N. 200 E. Dylan's Desserts & Giving Tree for Tyler

Dylan Shaw is SO excited about the Giving Tree for Tyler! He wants to give something special to Tyler because so many people have shown great love and support for him. Dylan wants to pass on the joy and hope he has felt to others so he is making lemonade and treats to sell at the Ogden Studio tomorrow (June 20) from 4-6 p.m. All proceeds from his bake sale will go to Tyler, our 14 year-old friend who is suffering from cancer. We want Tyler's Tree to be an AWESOME surprise! As you are out and about tomorrow, if you could pick up one small gift card or bring a dollar or two to the Studio for a donation, it would be GREATLY appreciated! Or just come by the Studio and get a few treats for the kids. Tyler hasn't been feeing well so we want to make this gift extra SPECIAL and get it to him ASAP. Update on Brigham Studio Classes

There has been a time change for the Brigham summer 3 & 4 year old class . They will attend on Mondays from 11-12 , instead of 10-11. Summer Classes & Full Out

Classes start this Monday, June 13 , at both Studios! If you missed registration, check the master schedule below on the blog and plan to register the first day of class. We still have a number of openings in our recreational classes so take advantage of this a great opportunity to keep your dancer busy and having lots of fun this summer!! We can't wait to see you! Fun Run Benefit Event

Remember the Fun Run benefit this Saturday, June 11, at Perry Park!! Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. The 5k starts at 9:00 and the one-mile walk at 9:30. Bring your friends and family for a great way to get out and enjoy the sunshine while contributing to a worthy cause. Cost for the 5k is $20 and the 1k walk is $15. All proceeds will go to the Young Family in memory of Jeff Young. Hope to see you all there!

Issues with Vendor

We have been notified by our credit card vendor that there was a database error during routine maintenance on their recurring payments site over the weekend, which processed autopays for last season. Due to this error, transaction authorizations were made against some credit cards that were not scheduled for payment. The processed payments were NOT authorized by Infinity Dance. We have been assured by the vendor that any temporary "holds" or payments that were processed in error will be settled and accounts credited back based on their issuing bank’s policies – typically in three-to-five business days. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, however, we had no control over this situation. We have taken steps to ensure we don't have this issue again in the future with this vendor. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Audition Info. Update

Wow! We had GREAT auditions - what a talented and amazing group of dancers came out ! Due to a larger than expected turn out, our auditions took longer than we anticipated. A HUGE thank you all the dancers and parents for your patience and support! We know it was a long night but everyone was so awesome. We didn't feel we could rush through the process and wanted to give everyone equal time to keep the process fair. The large turn out also makes the job of team placement very difficult, as well. Our judges still have some deliberating to do to ensure we get everyone right where they need to be. We really want what is best for each of you!! Results will be posted on Tuesday, May 31.
