Utah Dance Festival Schedule

Saturday, May 4
8:30 a.m. Check in-Creative Arts Academy at 165 South Main Street, Bountiful
9:00 a.m. - noon master classes

Please park in back and enter through the back entrance. There will be no food or drink allowed in the dance studios.  Also, only ballet slippers, foot-undies, or bare feet will be allowed.  NO street shoes should be worn in the dance studios.

Get a quick lunch and travel to Viewmont High School at 120 West 1000 North in Bountiful.

12:40 p.m. Meet at Viewmont High School for staging and adjudication. Infinity has 10 minutes to mark the stage at 12:45 p.m. Because of our tight schedule, dances that are late will not be adjudicated. Also, please make sure that dancers pick up after themselves in the high school common areas.

The following routines will be adjudicated at Utah Dance Festival:
1:40 p.m. How it Ends
2:25 p.m. Keys to Happiness
3:00 p.m. In the House
4:05 p.m. Sound of Silence
4:25 p.m. To Heaven and Back

Dancers must be backstage 15 minutes prior to their adjudication time.
The public is not permitted to watch adjudication. No information is available if parents can view classes; however, it is doubtful since space at the Studio will be limited.

Gala Concert
Participants for the Gala Concert will be announced/posted at 5:00 p.m. in the lobby of Viewmont High School. Each studio will have at least one dance selected. Approximately 20-25 dances will be selected for the Gala Concert.

The Gala Concert will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will end approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes later.  One of the core missions of UDF is to provide a venue for dancers and teachers to share their work with others in the Utah dance community in a non-competitive environment. For that reason, we would like the students to see as many dances from the other studios as possible. We will announce when a dance is “on deck” and when that announcement is made, the dancers in that dance should line up backstage.

Before that announcement is made, please have your dancers remain in the auditorium.  Also, please have your dancers return to the auditorium after their dance is completed. Dancers are NOT allowed to be in the halls unattended and should wear studio cover ups at all times.

This is a great opportunity to work with new instructors and choreographers. Please be very respectful and be ready to work hard, as you always do!! We hope to be invited back again next year!
