I am working to create a condensed version with only the Infinity team information but this will be a lot of manual typing so please be patient. In the meantime, here is information from the WDFF competition director:
We are one week from our 4th annual Will Dance For Food Competition and I couldn’t be more excited! Thank you so much for your support of this important cause. Because every $1 we donate is currently worth $7.61 in good and services to the Kid’s Programs at the Utah Food Bank, our goal is to donate a minimum of $37,319.00 this year. If we reach this goal the value of our donations for 4 years will be $1,000,000 in goods and services to the UFB! This is a HUGE milestone for our project and is only possible because of you and your help and support! THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! It’s going to be a great event. Please share this information with your dancers and parents as they are such an important part of this amazing milestone.
2. Please make sure your parents know there is an admission charge at the door:
$6 Adults/ $5 Students ages 4-18 /$4 Seniors 65+/ Under 3 Free.
Two day passes are $10/ $8/ $6
3. All solos, duos & trios will dress in the cafeteria on Friday. Boys dressing room is backstage in the auditorium stage left for both days.
4. Dressing rooms for studios have been assigned and there will be a hostess at the admissions table to take your to your dressing room when you arrive on Sat.
5. Stage right there is a quick change room for dancers who need it. Please get in and out of the quick change room when you use it so everyone who needs to use it has availability.
6. There is NO VIDEO TAPING OR PHOTOGRAPHY. DRC Videos will be filming the competition. DVD’s will be available to purchase in the lobby at their table. MAKE SURE PARENTS KNOW THIS and follow this rule PLEASE!!
7. NEW THIS YEAR! This year, in an effort to make things easier for everyone, we are going to be TWEETING what routine is currently performing in both the gym and the auditorium. For example: g21 would mean routine 21 in the gym or a37 would mean routine 37 in the auditorium. All you have to do is follow WDFKP on Twitter and have the Twitter app on your smartphone. (The app is free and available in most app stores.) Make sure you set up your Twitter account (or ask a teenager to do it) before the competition if you don’t already have one so you are set to go!
8. Music for all routines must be on a clean professional quality CD. One song/routine per CD. No IPODS .It should include the following information: Routine name/ Studio & Studio code/ Entry number. Please have a backup CD readily available. Turn music in to sound table at correct venue upon arrival. Directors/Teachers should pick up music at sound table after competition.
9. Solo, duo, trio contestants can pick up their score sheets after their awards ceremony & should also make sure they pick up their music. Studio score sheets will be available after the final awards ceremony on Saturday.
It’s going to be a great competition with a feeling of giving and sharing. Your participation helps us make sure no child in our community goes to bed hungry. Together we are indeed “Dancing to Make a Difference”.
With love and appreciation,
Penny Broussard / WDFKP Director
