Performance Hair & Make Up

Recommended make up for dancers
Eye make up in neutral tones.Start with a dark brown v-shape in the outer corners and light tan/gold on the lower lid. Finish eyes with a light upper lid liner in a thin line with a little lift at the end. All dancers are encouraged to wear blush. Suggested dusty pink shades through the middle of the cheek with a light lift along the cheekbone. Suggested true red lipstick to add color to lips.

Hairstyle
For all competition and ITC teams. Jordin would also like this style for the Funky 5-7 year olds. The pouf is achieved by parting the bangs into a triangle that meets int he top middle of the head. Back comb all of the hair except for the front 1/2 inch section that will fold over the top to hide teasing. Secure with a clear elastic and criss cross bobby pins that match the hair. Use a little aerosol hairspray for a firm hold and slick the remainder of the hair into a mid back of the head straight pony tail. Finish by wrapping a bottom piece of hair around the elastic and secure with bobby pins. Finish with a layer of hairspray.

Younger recreational dancers may have hair style of their choice securely pulled back off the face with light make up, if desired.

Competition Hair

Hair is to be very straight with bangs pulled back and pinned with rhinestone bobby pins in a small bump (not large like last year) in the middle of the head. Part hair at the top of ears and pull back in a half pony and secure with rhinestone pony holder. The rest of the hair in the back is to be straight down long.
