Optional Workshop Opportunity Dec. 28-30

This is an OPTIONAL workshop opportunity if you missed Full Out or the Infinity Intensive. Dancers may participate in one, two or all three days of the event December 28-30 in Draper. If you attend, please notify the office so your dancer can be given credit for a make up convention.
Salt Contemporary Dance is thrilled to announce that Jermaine Maurice Spivey from Kidd Pivot will be teaching and inspiring us at this year's Winter Workshop! If you know Jermaine or the world-famous dance company Kidd Pivot, you know this is a not-to-be-missed opportunity. Additional information available here.

Mr. Spivey has been performing with Kidd Pivot since August 2008, as well as re-staging Crystal Pite's work across the globe. After graduating with a BFA in dance from The Julliard School, Jermaine moved to Lisbon, Portugal, where he danced with Ballet Gulbenkian. Jermaine then joined the Cullberg Ballet and performed with the company until joining Kidd Pivot. Jermaine has received several awards in dance including the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts 1st Level Scholarship and the Princess Grace Award.

Competition Hair

Hair is to be very straight with bangs pulled back and pinned with rhinestone bobby pins in a small bump (not large like last year) in the middle of the head. Part hair at the top of ears and pull back in a half pony and secure with rhinestone pony holder. The rest of the hair in the back is to be straight down long.
