Hollywood Competition Schedule and important information!!

A few things to remember. All fees need to be paid for this event ASAP!!

Please have your dancer bring home a waiver and send it to the first convention class.

*There are no observers in the classrooms with the exception of Minis (one per dancer)

***Congregating outside of the ballrooms is not permitted during conventions classes.***

***Please note that masks will be required in all public areas including convention classes. Face Shields that leave the nose exposed and are not fitted to the person's face are not permitted. All masks must cover nose and mouth. Also all dancers will be asked to remain socially distance in their designated ballrooms for lunch. Masks are not required for Competition.  ***

*Competition viewing will be limited according to ballroom space. Competition will be live streamed to allow for more viewing opportunities. We do ask to limit your guests to 1-2 per dancer. We ask that once you finish watching your performer, to please exit to allow more opportunity for others to watch.

Convention Class information


Friday

CONVENTION CLASSES 3:00-9:45pm (Jr/Inter/Tn/Sr/Tch)

*Please note the staggered start times for classes to avoid all dancers being in the pre-function area at once plus to utilize the ballroom space for social distancing guidelines.

*We ask dancers to check in outside of ballroom 15 minutes prior to the start of class time for their temperature check. Dancers will receive a sticker indicating that they have been checked. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or higher will be asked to not attend. They will also turn in their COVID release at this time.

*Masks are REQUIRED for convention. Any Type of Shield is not an acceptable form of a mask as they do

not cover the nose and mouth fully.

*There are no Observers in the classrooms with the exception of Minis.

*Auditions will take place for the Junior, Intermediate, Teen, & Senior level for Scholarships back to Hollywood Vibe and other additional prizes.

*For Juniors/Intermediates/Teen/Senior dancers- Scholarship Finalist will be announced in the last class of the day on Saturday. We will ask these scholarship finalists to stay for our scholarship finale and final audition process on Saturday that will take place in front of our entire panel of faculty. All other dancers will be done and can watch the Virtual Scholarship Finale and Faculty Show.

Saturday

CONVENTION CLASSES 2:00pm ~9:15pm (Mini/Jr/Inter/Tn/Sr/Tch)

*Please note the staggered start times for classes to avoid all dancers being in the pre-function area at once plus to utilize the ballroom space for social distancing guidelines.

*We ask dancers to check in outside of ballroom 15 minutes prior to the start of class time for their temperature check. Dancers will receive a sticker indicating that they have been checked. Anyone with atemperature of 100.4 or higher will be asked to not attend. They will also turn in their COVID release at this time.

*Masks are REQUIRED for convention. All types of Shields are not acceptable forms of a mask as they do not cover the nose and mouth fully. *There are no Observers in the classrooms.

*For Juniors/Intermediates/Teen/Senior dancers- Scholarship Finalist will be announced in the last class of the day. We will ask these scholarship finalists to stay for our scholarship finale and final audition process that will take place in front of our entire panel of faculty. *Minis will be presented their scholarships and certificates in their class. They will be finished right after.

VIRTUAL SCHOLARSHIP FINALE & FACULTY SHOW: ~9:30pm

*This will be available for all to watch on our LIVE STREAM!

*The only ones allowed in the ballroom will be the dancers in the scholarship finale and Registered Studio

Teachers/Staff.

*We do not have winners from competition participate in the Closing Show.

*After the Scholarship Finale and Faculty Show, we will be awarding Scholarships

Competition Hair

Hair is to be very straight with bangs pulled back and pinned with rhinestone bobby pins in a small bump (not large like last year) in the middle of the head. Part hair at the top of ears and pull back in a half pony and secure with rhinestone pony holder. The rest of the hair in the back is to be straight down long.
