Rehearsal Reminders for March 4, 5 & 12

Important Calendar Dates

Spotlight Solo Info.

Spotlight has a VERY large number of solo registrations for their competition on March 24-27. If anyone is willing to switch and compete solos the weekend before, they would REALLY appreciate it to even out the numbers. Advanced Junior, Teen, and Senior solos would be Friday, March 18, and Petite, beginning, and intermediate divisions would be on Saturday, March 19. If you are willing to trade dates, please notify the office or e-mail me at eden@infinitydance.org ASAP. Thanks!!

Hollywood Vibe

If you are planning to attend Hollywood Vibe, please contact me at eden@infinitydance.org . Dancers registering as a group through the Studio will receive a discounted rate on the convention of $190 instead of $200 for Junior/Teen/Seniors and $90 instead of $95 for Minis. Pre-registration has been extended so contact me ASAP if you are interested in attending.

Project Smile Tonight (Feb. 17)

Be there promptly at 3:00 p.m. This is our assigned time to rehearse on stage. Routines: Ottoman, Dirty Bit, Work, Close Your Eyes, Sinner If you haven't paid already, please bring $12 for your Project Smile t-shirt -Dress rehearsal at 3:00 p.m. -Space routines on stage-CLOSED to parents!!!! -Rehearse with the other studios 5:00-6:00-CLOSED TO PARENTS -Get ready for show (eat, dress, make up, HAIR SHOULD BE DONE) -Show begins @ 7:00 pm Remember your black sweat bottoms for the finale and black tank tops to wear under for Dirty Bit During the Show: Infinity will need TWO chaperones to stay in the dressing room at all times with the dancers. DANCERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE. -Last year there were the problems with going in and out of the auditorium, playing on the elevators, hanging out in the hallways (this disturbs others who have rented the other rooms). Competition Hair

Hair is to be very straight with bangs pulled back and pinned with rhinestone bobby pins in a small bump (not large like last year) in the middle of the head. Part hair at the top of ears and pull back in a half pony and secure with rhinestone pony holder. The rest of the hair in the back is to be straight down long.

Syracuse Performance

Syracuse Dance Line Annual Showcase-Wednesday, Feb. 16. Be there ready to go at 6:00 p.m. Show starts at 6:30. Line up in order of performance - Work, Close Your Eyes, Sinner, Dirty Bit Enter the school from the North side. Do not use the front doors, there is no direct access to the gym. Please enter in the glass doors on the North West end of the school by the Seminary Building. Dancers will meet in the small gym. Adults $3 children 3-12 $2 and children under 3 are free. Spectators must wait to be seated between numbers. Patrons will not be allowed to walk in front of the bleachers during a performance.

UDDSC Results

Accessories/Shoes Pick Up Scheduled

Parents of dancers on Ogden Sr./Elite/Jr./Teen Companies - please pick up your shoes and accessories from the Ogden Studio on Monday, Feb. 14, from 5-8:30 p.m. All accounts must be current in order to take items and be ready for performances in the upcoming week. Brigham Studio accessories and shoes have been handed out to most teams already, if you have paid for your items. Jr. Squad and Mini Prep be sure to pick up your jewelry next week. Check in the office if you have any questions. Thanks!

Special Rehearsal Schedule/Performance Reminders

Kassie will be rehearsing her Ogden Sr. routines on Saturday, 2/12, from 9-11 a.m. Sharee will be rehearsing Ogden Funk on Saturday, 2/12, from 8-9 a.m. with Srs. and from 8-10 with Elites that are not involved in Kassie's rehearsal. Brandi will be rehearsing Brigham Sr. Elites (Dancin' with Myself) on Saturday, 2/12, from 12-1 p.m. PERFORMANCES FOR WEEK OF FEB 14: Syracuse Dance Line Showcase, Wednesday, Feb. 16 Close Your Eyes, Dirty Bit, Work, Sinner Be there ready to go at 6:00 p.m. Project Smile, Thursday, Feb. 17 Ottoman, Dirty Bit, Work, Close Your Eyes, Sinner Be there ready to go at 3:00 p.m. Show starts at 7:00 p.m.

Performance & Calendar Updates

All dancers performing at Project Smile will need plain black sweat pants and black hip hop shoes for the finale. If you don't already have sweats, they can be purchased for a very reasonable price at Wal-Mart. Project Smile t-shirts will be provided at the performance. You should have received a note with all the performance details. Be at the theater in SLC by 3:00 p.m. Remember, Sinner has been added to the line up. Dress Rehearsal for all teams doing competitions will be held on March 17 at Roy High School . Cost is $10 per dancer. Company pictures have been scheduled for Saturday, March 19 , in Ogden . Start looking through your closets now for fun jewel-tone colors to wear for the shoot. Details will be coming soon...

Performance Updates/Syracuse & Project Smile

All participants and observers will need to enter the school from the North. Do not go through the front doors, you will not be able to get to the gym. Please enter in the glass doors on the North West end of the school (by the Seminary Building). Project Smile: Sinner has been added to performance line-up. Please review to notes that are being sent home for details. Dancers must remain in the dressing rooms at ALL times when they aren't performing. Remember to invite your friends and family so we can have a great turn out for this worthy cause!

Vote for Utah Dancers & Congrats!

Check out "Live to Dance" on Channel 2 tonight at 7:00 p.m. and be sure to vote for our friends from the Vibe! Also congratulations to Hailee Payne for winning a Millennium Scholarship and to Amber Williams for winning an Elite Dancer Scholarship at West Coast Dance Expansion last weekend in Las Vegas . Way to go, girls!

Project Smile Updates

Notes are being sent home this week with the details of the Project Smile benefit concert. The other studios who attend always provide very large donations and we would really like Infinity dancers to be able to make a significant contribution to this worthy cause, as well. Please consider seeking sponsorship donations from the community, in addition to showing your support with ticket sales. Any amount donated is greatly appreciated and every little bit adds up to help a child in need! Please refer to the sponsor letter that was sent home for additional details.
