March 3-4 Solo/Duo Competition

Will Dance for Kids Project Donations

See below for a message from the Director of the Will Dance for Kids Project. Merry Christmas! I hope you are all getting ready for a nice holiday break! Just a reminder that this is the perfect time of year to send home Hearts & Hands tickets with your dancers to sell to all their friends & family! These tickets are just $1 and the top prize is 2 TICKETS ANYWHERE JET BLUE FLIES IN THE USA! There are also lots of other great prizes too! The dancers can also win lots of great prizes for selling tickets, getting in kind donations, sponsors or selling ads! We appreciate your help and support as we work together to fight childhood hunger in our state. Every dollar we raise is worth $7.35 to the Kid's Cafe & Backpack Program at the Utah Food Bank! Together we can make a difference in the lives of hungry kids. Optional Workshop Opportunity Dec. 28-30

This is an OPTIONAL workshop opportunity if you missed Full Out or the Infinity Intensive. Dancers may participate in one, two or all three days of the event December 28-30 in Draper. If you attend, please notify the office so your dancer can be given credit for a make up convention. Salt Contemporary Dance is thrilled to announce that Jermaine Maurice Spivey from Kidd Pivot will be teaching and inspiring us at this year's Winter Workshop! Triple Threat - Special Performance Tonight at 5:30!!

A special invitation from Melissa Burke to visit the Triple Threat class tonight at 5:30 p.m. at the Ogden Studio and see what they have been doing! There are still a few openings available so come check it out and see if this class might be for you!!

DanceLink Make Up Convention Opportunity-Dec 30

This is an optional workshop opportunity that can count as a make up convention if you missed Full Out or for one day missed of the Infinity Intensive. You will be responsible for your own registration and payment. If you attend, please provide verification to the office so your dancer will be given credit for participation. IDC Team Competition Fees DUE DEC. 1

Reminder - IDC Team comp fees for the March 3-4 competition are due this Thursday. Fee is $32 per routine ($96 for most dancers competing 3 routines). If you are planning to compete a solo at this competition, be sure to get a registration form from the office. Solo registration form and payment are also due this Thursday. Win Vlado Shoes with Will Dance for Kids Project

Infinity ha s chosen to support the WILL DANCE FOR FOOD project. All IDC teams from both studios will be participating in a competition on March 3-4 with all proceeds benefitting the Will Dance for Kids Project. One in five Utah kids don’t know where their next meal is coming from and our participation will help feed hungry kids in our community. Your example of sharing time and talents to help others is something they will always remember. “We Dance to Make a Difference” A message from the Will Dance for Food Director : Dancers who get sponsors, in kind donations, sell program ads and/or sell Hearts & Hands tickets by the end of the year (Dec. 31, 2016) can win a FREE PAIR OF NEW AVANTE VLADO SHOES! Prizes for both $500 and $1000 fundraisers. Also, any dancer who reaches $1000 wins the shoes now and a scholarship at the competition in March. Selling Hearts & Hands tickets over the holidays to family and friends is easy. Top prize is two tickets anywhere Jet Blue flies!

URGENT: NUTCRACKER Redux Performance UPDATE!

We just received word from Odyssey that they had a studio back out of one of the shows and they need the Infinity dancers to cover that performance. So INSTEAD of December 23rd, Party Girl cast will be performing December 16th. Mario cast will be doing the performance on the 16th IN ADDITION to the 23rd performance. Angel Tree Families Needed!

As the holiday season approaches, we reflect with grateful hearts on all the blessings we enjoy. As a studio family, would like to help make the holidays more special for others who may be less fortunate. We will be sponsoring an Angel Tree(s) at the Studios and need your help finding one or two families who need assistance for Christmas. If you know of a family in need, please e-mail their name and brief information about their circumstances to infinitydanceinfo@gmail.com . All contacts will be kept strictly confidential. We would like to sponsor one family at each studio (one in the Brigham and one in the Ogden area). Once the families are selected, we will need basic information regarding their ages and individual wants/needs. We would like to find our families to sponsor by December 1 and hope to hear from you soon!

There has been a lot going on this month! Nutcracker Redux - Audition Results!!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the audition! All the dancers were so great! We did find out there will be one change in the scheduling. Practice won't be held on Wednesday, 11/23, (there is no dance). Reminder the first Nutcracker practice is tonight from 8:00-8:45 p.m. for Mario/Luigi's and 8:45-9:30 p.m. for Party girls. Odyssey Nutcracker Redux Auditions - Monday, NOV 21!

Infinity dancers have been invited to be in the children's cast for Odyssey's Nutcracker Redux Ogden performance on December 2 .  A uditions will be held during class this Monday for both the Mario (general ages 8-11) and the Party Girl (general ages 12-15) cast at the Ogden Studio. Dancers must be able to fit in the provided costumes so some height restrictions may apply. Peanut Butter Jamm - Nov. 19

Reminder - Peanut Butter Jamm is this weekend! This is an optional event. Proceeds from the Will Dance For Food competition and events benefit the Kids Cafe and Backpack programs of the Utah Food Bank. Everyone is welcome to attend and cheer on their favorite crew, even if you don't participate in the battle. Registration link: here

Ogden Elite ADP & Mini ITC Schedule Updates

A minor change has been made to the Ogden Elite ADP and Mini ITC schedules. Please note the following: Mini ITC will have a separate Technique/Ballet class with Berklee on Tuesdays from 6-7 p.m. (no longer combined with Junior IPC Ballet) Elite ADP will attend classes from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesdays (Ballet, Contemporary) and will have their Combo class moved to Wednesdays from 7-8 p.m with Taylor (during the hour that previously was a break). Dancers will still attend Wednesdays from 4-9 p.m. The revised schedule will begin this week. Please check with the office if you have any questions. Thanks!!

ADP/IDC Convention Payment DUE 11/21

Reminder – payment for the first ADP (required)/IDC (optional) 2017 convention ($245) is due 11/21/16. All ADPS will be attending the convention and competing team routines. IDC dancers are invited and strongly encouraged to attend the convention but will not be competing. Please check with the office or e-mail infinitydanceinfo@gmail.com if you have questions. Team routine fees for this event will be due 12/15. Thanks!
