Optional Workshop Opportunity Dec. 28-30

This is an OPTIONAL workshop opportunity if you missed Full Out or the Infinity Intensive. Dancers may participate in one, two or all three days of the event December 28-30 in Draper. If you attend, please notify the office so your dancer can be given credit for a make up convention.
Salt Contemporary Dance is thrilled to announce that Jermaine Maurice Spivey from Kidd Pivot will be teaching and inspiring us at this year's Winter Workshop! If you know Jermaine or the world-famous dance company Kidd Pivot, you know this is a not-to-be-missed opportunity. Additional information available here.

Mr. Spivey has been performing with Kidd Pivot since August 2008, as well as re-staging Crystal Pite's work across the globe. After graduating with a BFA in dance from The Julliard School, Jermaine moved to Lisbon, Portugal, where he danced with Ballet Gulbenkian. Jermaine then joined the Cullberg Ballet and performed with the company until joining Kidd Pivot. Jermaine has received several awards in dance including the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts 1st Level Scholarship and the Princess Grace Award.

Utah Solo Championship - Feb. 3-4

Infinity dancers have received a special invitation from the directors of the Utah Solo Championship:

Registration is now open for the Utah Solo Championship. It will be held February 3-4 at Juan Diego High School in Draper. Friday will be for all beginning dancers and Saturday will be for intermediate and advanced dancers. There will be an awards ceremony following each level of competition. This event is for all ages, skill levels, and styles. All solos, duos, and trios are welcome to compete.  Every dancer is recognized and receives a gift. We have great judges that will give your dancers beneficial comments to help them prepare for their competition season.
Last year we had participants from over 30 different studios in the state and we would love for you to be part of this fun event! Get more information and register now at www.uddsc.com. There is no spectator entrance fee, the event is free to the public! General information for the competition is below. The competition may run up to one hour ahead of schedule. Please arrive two hours before your first scheduled routine. Bring your warm ups and wear them in all public areas. Also, please review and abide by photography rules and policies on food in the theater and dressing rooms. Spotlight was amazing and we are ready to end our competition season with another INCREDIBLE weekend!!!
