Amazing Master Class Opportunity - Sat., May 25

The Creative Arts Academy is hosting several master classes with some FABULOUS guest choreographers on Saturday, May 25. All intermediate to advanced dancers are invited to attend. We realize this is short notice but take advantage of this amazing opportunity if you can! The teachers are from the Shaping Sound Company:

Matthew Peacock will teach 9:00-10:30 a.m. $20
Chantel Aguirre will teach 10:30-noon $20

MATTHEW PEACOCK
Matthew began his training in Coram, New York under the direction of Michelle Ferraro.  After a year, Matthew had the opportunity to perform at Madison Square Garden as a New York Knicks City Kids Dancer.  In 2005, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dance career.  Matthew toured the US and Europe with Odyssey Dance Theatre performing the works of Justin Giles, Derryl Yeager, and Mia Michaels.  He has been a principal dancer and the assistant of SoulEscape Dance Company under the direction of Justin Giles.  Matthew is a also a member of Chuthis Dance Group, founded and directed by Peter Chu.  He has been seen on Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, 90210, The Grammy's, American Idol, The American Music Awards, Two and a Half Men, Shake It Up and in numerous films such as Alvin and the Chipmunks, The Bratz Movie, and Camp Fred.  In 2008 he moved to Las Vegas to perform as a soloist in Cirque Du Soleil's The Beatles LOVE.  His choreography has appeared on television shows such as The Secret Life of the American Teenager and The Brenda Hampton Project II.  He has also assisted Justin Giles on So You Think You Can Dance Season 8. Currently, Matthew is touring the world dancing for PSY.  His choregraphy can also be seen on dance studios around the nation.  Matthew is truly passionate about the art of dance and is excited by any experience related to his passion!

CHANTEL AGUIRRE
Chantel trained with San Francisco Ballet and The Dance Company of San Francisco and studied at New York University.  She has performed professionally with San Francisco Ballet, Cedar Lake, SoulEscape, Lunge Dance Collective, Tayeh Dance, Stacey Tookey's Still Motion, and now, Shaping Sound Dance Company.  Chantel has worked with many artists including Beyonce, Adele, Florence and the Machine, The Goo Goo Dolls, Taylor Swift, Cee-lo Green, Christina Perri, Panic at the Disco, and Chris Brown.  She has been seen numerous times on Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, The Academy Awards with The League of Extraordinary Dancers, The Video Music Awards, American Music Awards, MACY's Passport, The Billboard Awards, Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, The BET Awards, Good Christian Belles, Glee, and the recent season of XFactor.  She was a part of Travis Wall's skeleton crew and help construct scenes for Step Up 4.  Chantel was recently on the cover of Dance Spirit Magazine focusing on her Rise to Stardom.  As a dancer for Shaping Sound, her dancing can be seen on the Oxygen Network series, All The Right Moves.
