VERY IMPORTANT - COMPETITION CHANGE!!

In10sity just informed us that the competition for Salt Lake City has been cancelled due to insufficient registration.
ADPS will be competing at the Relevé Competition in Saratoga Springs on Apr 28-30 in place of In10sity. Please note solos will be scheduled on Thursday and Friday nights at Relevé. Only one solo is permitted per dancer.

We understand it is challenging to make an uplanned change in the schedule but we were very fortunate to find another quality event that could accommodate all our routines on such short notice. Thank you for your understanding!!

If you are NOT able to compete your solo at Relevé, please e-mail or text me (see below) ASAP. The following solos/duos/trios (registered at In10sity) have also been registered for Relevé by name, category and skill level:

PERFORMANCE CATEGORIES
Ballet - Includes classical or contemporary ballet movements and technique. Routine must consist of ballet technique, classical steps and movements.
Character - A routine portraying an easily recognizable character. Routine must portray a character throughout.
Cheer - Must use cheerleading style technique. Each routine must blend a combination of leaps, jumps, vocal cheering and a display of precision throughout with strong sharp movements.
Clog - Performed in clogging shoes using clogging technique.
Contemporary - Routine incorporating lyrical or jazz movement fused with modern elements.
Hip Hop - Street or contemporary jazz-funk.
Jazz - Contains traditional jazz movements and technique.
Lyrical - Dancers interpret the lyrics, mood and content of the music. Routine encompassing the use of balance, flexibility and control utilizing the lyrics and feeling of the music.
Production - Must include at least 20 dancers and be 4-12 minutes long. May contain any style or combination of styles of dance with a story line or theme. It may contain multiple ages, levels, dance forms, props, stage sets, or special effects.
Specialty - Routines which do not fit into one of our performance categories OR a routine which is a combination of two or more of our performance categories OR a routine using ethnic styles of dance such as Ballroom, Irish, Hawaiian, Spanish, Celtic, etc.

SKILL LEVELS
E = Elite - This is the appropriate level for intermediate dancers
Class time is combined hours of 7-9 hours per week (ex. 2 hours company, 1 hour ballet, 1 hour tap, 1 hour jazz, 1 hour tumbling/gymnastics, 1 hour technique, & 1 hour hip hop = 8 hours per week of dance)
Has not won Queen in the Elite Division

P= Premier - This is the appropriate level for advanced dancers
Class time is combined hours of 10 hours per week (ex. 3 hours company, 1 hour ballet, 1 hour tap, 1 hour jazz, 1 hour tumbling/gymnastics, 1 hour technique, 1 hour hip hop, & 1 hour of pointe = 10 hours per week of dance)
