MVP (Maximum Velocity Performance) Competition | Gala
On the evening of the 7th we will have our Season Finale Gala. This event includes a formal dinner followed by our Guest Artist performance, Jordan Fisher, and then our MVP (Maximum Velocity Performance) Competition. At the conclusion of each age category competition during the week, (Mini, Junior, Teen and Senior) we will announce the dances that have qualified to compete in the MVP competition at the Gala on July 7th. These dances are the top five (5) scoring groups in the Mini, Junior, Teen, and Senior age divisions. Each studio is only allowed one group to compete in each age division. The dances will re-compete in our Gala and then we will award our National MVP’s based on these performances.

If you have students that did not purchase Gala Tickets and are selected to perform again in the Gala, they are allowed to perform and attend the awards ceremony that evening without a ticket. They are not allowed to participate in the dinner, and Jordan Fisher's performance.
Attire for the Gala:
We specify formal, however that can be to your own scale of formal. Some ladies wear prom dresses, and others cocktail dresses. Essentially think nice wedding attire.

MVA (+) Program
At the Gala, we will announce the new MVA(+) Members that are being asked to join this prestigious program. These individuals are chosen from the Season Finale MVA Participants in the Teen and Senior age divisions of this years Season Finale. This selection process is not based off of scores of any auditions or competition, it is simply based off of work ethic throughout the week, and the potential the faculty sees in these individuals. The goal of this program is to mold each student into working dancers, and leaders in the Commercial Dance Industry.

We can’t wait to spend this year’s Season Finale with you!
Best,
Velocity Dance Convention
