Velocity Weekend Information and updated Competition Schedule.

 We are looking forward to attending Velocity this weekend! Please look over this post and make sure that you are prepared for the weekend. If you have not picked up your numbers, please stop in the office tonight to get those. All numbers that have not been picked up will be with Stephanie at the event.

Here is the updated competition schedule for this weekend: Velocity Comp Schedule


There has been a few changes to the convention schedule (mainly rehearsal times for shows) so I have listed that below. 




Dressing rooms


All dressing rooms are assigned by studio and in a coordinating time frame with the block competition schedule. Your dressing room call time will always be 1 hour before your performance time. If a studio has 5 or more students they will be placed in their own dressing room that will be disinfected in between each studio that uses it. Individual students (4 or less dancers) from studios competing will be in a large shared dressing room with assigned spots to ensure social distancing. A member of the Velocity staff will be in the dressing room to check you in and to help maintain a safe environment. If we do not have any studios with male dancers for the evening, the Boys Dressing Room will be used as a Girls Dressing Room. This will vary per event. 

We do have strict rules for our dressing rooms to help everyone stay safe and the event to run smoothly. Please remember that other studios will be using the space after you and cleaning up any trash will help us and is greatly appreciated!



Livestream for competition

There is a password in order to view the livestream competition and awards ceremony. The awards ceremony is virtual for everyone.

On Thursday and Friday adjudication awards will be announced on our livestream for those that performed during those days.

All Overall Placements and MVP Awards for Thursday, Friday and Saturday will be announced on Saturday afternoon with our livestream.
 
Awards Box
 
On Saturday you will have an awards box to pick up for the competition and scholarship portion of the event.

McKenna has grown up in her family owned dance studio in Vernal, UT where dance has played an important part of her life and has taught her more than just steps. McKenna is trained in and loves to teach all styles of dance including Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Contemporary, Clogging, and Hip Hop. Choreographing is her joy and she has been hired all over from Washington, to New Mexico, and has won many choreography awards.
