Important Updates for UDF - Location Change

The Director of Utah Dance Fest sent us the following information:

IMPORTANT: LOCATION CHANGE FOR 2015!
Utah Dance Fest Stage Competition will be held this year in a brand new venue ~ Mount Logan Middle School right in the center of downtown Logan.  Because of construction going on at Logan High and at Utah State, and valley high schools being unable to accommodate us, we are excited to announce that we will be at the very nice, clean and spacious Mount Logan Middle School this year.  It will be perfect for our event this year and hope you appreciate the very convenient location and lots of street parking nearby. (We originally advertised Mt. Crest High School as our new location, but that facility just wasn't going to work for us after all.)

Directions to Mount Logan Middle School
Mt. Logan Middle School address is 875 North 200 East in Logan.  When you come into Logan you will be on Main Street.  Turn East on 800 or 1000 North – the school lies between these two blocks.  Turn onto 200 East and you will see the front of the school.  The roundabout in the front will be reserved for Studio Directors (NEW THIS YEAR) but there is a school parking lot on the South side of the school and plenty of neighborhood parking east of the school.  Props and large backdrops may be brought to the doors on the south side of the school.

About Mt. Logan Auditorium
The Mount Logan Middle School Auditorium is an excellent stage and concert hall.  The stage is smaller than Logan High and Kent Concert Hall where we usually hold our competition and the wings are much smaller, but we will do our best to make it as efficient and organized as possible.  We hope you will be understanding  The stage dimensions are 45’ wide by 30’ deep.
Because of the way the show order is designed, most studios will compete within a block of time, or in blocks of time with a break in between.   We hope you find this competition set up very relaxing and accommodating for parents and families who want to watch, and for directors and dancers as well.

Entry Fees & Tickets:
·       FRIDAY:  NO TICKETS needed on Friday – performers competing in the solo/duo/trio competition will be admitted without charge by checking in with their name – they will receive their show number at check in.
 ·       SATURDAY:  No tickets will be needed on Saturday.  Only performers will be admitted without charge by studio jacket/warm-ups or costume.
·       Spectators pay $7.00 per person at the door.  Two day passes are $12.  NEW… FAMILY PASSES will be available for $25 per day or $40 for a two day pass.  Children 5 and under are admitted free.
·       Competition Programs will be available that day for $5.00.

We have Utah Dance Fest Sponsor hotels who provide a special rate to all Utah Dance Fest participants. Information about each hotel is available on our website:  www.utahdancefest.com

Awards
The awards at Utah Dance Fest are very delicate (they are dancer figurines) and must be handled with care.  Please allow room in your vehicle(s) to bring home your participation awards box(es) - a small figurine for every dancer from your studio- as well as other trophies you will win.  Once the awards are in your hands, they are your responsibility.  We apologize that we cannot be responsible to replace broken ones.

Food
There will be drinks and snack foods available for purchase at Utah Dance Fest on Competition Day. We also have several UDF restaurant sponsors located near the school that we hope you will visit for meals.
