  1. For this competition, the category definition is "Jazz: Routines must demonstrate jazz technique and style. No props or themes." A more general definition is "Jazz dance involves a range of lively, body movement and percussion techniques, with a mix of tap steps and social dances".

We are so excited to welcome several new faculty members this season and are pleased to begin our introductions with McKenna Lynch!! McKenna has grown up in her family owned dance studio in Vernal, UT where dance has played an important part of her life and has taught her more than just steps. McKenna is trained in and loves to teach all styles of dance including Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Contemporary, Clogging, and Hip Hop. Choreographing is her joy and she has been hired all over from Washington, to New Mexico, and has won many choreography awards.
